Crisis Services

The Emergency Services Program at CMHC provides case consultation and crisis intervention services to adults, children and families living in Dearborn, Ripley, Ohio, Franklin, and Switzerland Counties. These services include:

Education and Training

In partnership with NAMI and other area providers, CMHC participates in CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) to support local law enforcement and medical providers in having positive and supportive interactions with our patients and families when emergencies arise.

Crisis Intervention (24 hours a day)

  • During business hours, patients are seen in a variety of settings, primarily at our Main Center – 285 Bielby Road, Lawrenceburg, IN; however, all of our area offices are equipped to support a person in crisis and connect them to immediate help.
  • After business hours, Master’s Level Clinicians are available both by phone and in person. All after-hours assessments requiring face-to-face contact are managed through our partnership with Highpoint Health and patients are seen in the Emergency Room at 600 Wilson Creek Road, Lawrenceburg, IN.
  • Telephonic support is also provided to patients in crisis on a 24-hour basis through our Main Number 812-537-1302 or 877-849-1248.

Post-crisis follow-up and linkage to other services

CMHC offers a wide variety of services and our clinicians are equipped to link persons assessed to appropriate follow up. Depending on the level of need, the person seeking assessment may be an opportunity for change and we want to be there to support you and help remove barriers to positive change and recovery.
