Switzerland County Food Pantry
The Switzerland County Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 9:00am to 1:00pm and operates on a first-come, first-served basis until the week’s available items are distributed. Each week’s offerings vary based on donations, purchases, pantry inventory, and shipments from the Freestore Foodbank, but typically include a protein or meat, a vegetable, and a starch such as rice, potatoes, or noodles. Volunteers work in advance to pre-pack food based on a weekly list to help streamline distribution.
On the third Thursday of each month, the pantry also distributes Senior Boxes to individuals on the “Active List,” which currently has a waitlist due to high demand.
If you need assistance, please review the income guidelines to see if you qualify. If so, you can download and complete the TEFAP Form in advance and bring with you on distribution day or receive a paper copy from a Food Pantry Volunteer. Seniors can also complete the CSFP Form to be added to the waitlist for Senior Boxes.
Get Involved
The Switzerland County Food Pantry relies on the generosity of our community to continue serving local families in need. We welcome donations in the form of cash or check—checks can be made payable to INcompass Healthcare Food Pantry. In addition to monetary support, we gratefully accept non-expired canned and boxed food items. Household essentials are always in high demand—items like toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies make a meaningful impact. Your support helps us care for our neighbors in meaningful, practical ways.
The Switzerland County Food Pantry is always looking for caring volunteers to help support our weekly operations. Thursday volunteers are especially needed from 8:30 am to 1:00pm to pack food bags and boxes, assist with community distribution, and help ensure everything runs smoothly. We also welcome help on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, when food deliveries arrive—volunteers restock shelves, freezers, and refrigerators during that time. Whether you can lend a hand weekly or just once a month, your time makes a real difference.
